RE: The build - Small chilli - 08-09-2021 We had help again today and we booked in a couple of extra bodies this evening. [attachment=3833] Our living room windows! OMG ! They’re massive! We are thinking of making the slight smaller. That much glass is going to cost a furniture . [attachment=3834] But the view is pretty awesome [attachment=3835] [attachment=3836] RE: The build - Mark_Riga - 08-09-2021 It's looking a bit like a fort I made for one of the children years ago out of plywood - only a bit bigger. If the glass is too dear, you could glaze with polythene while you save up. RE: The build - Small chilli - 09-09-2021 Rain has hindered play today. Just one small wall up today. It includes the first of our kitchen windows . [attachment=3854] RE: The build - Veggie - 09-09-2021 Washing up is so much better when you have a view. RE: The build - Vinny - 09-09-2021 Just wondering SC what the exterior will be clad with once all the inner walls are up? I imagine stonework and wondered whether you will be tackling this yourselves as well? Apologies for being a nosy git! RE: The build - Veggie - 09-09-2021 IIRC its stone on the porch and timber on the rest............but I'm sure SC will correct me. RE: The build - Small chilli - 09-09-2021 You’re right veggie. Stone cladding on the porch and larch cladding on the rest of the house. With tin roof. And yes we’ll be doing it ourselves. RE: The build - Small chilli - 10-09-2021 Another Friday. So only half day on the build for me. Work getting in the way. I did help with screwing down the soleplate for the internal walls. We got our first internal panel in place but not properly attached at the moment. Need to read the instructions for that bit . [attachment=3861] The lawnmowers are still doing a good job. [attachment=3862] RE: The build - Admin - 10-09-2021 I do wish Bob would pull his finger out , getting impatient now. Looking better everyday RE: The build - Veggie - 10-09-2021 An internal wall! Wow!! soon you'll have to walk through doorways, not take shortcuts. |
