RE: 2024 - Good morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 01-11-2024 In case you're interested, I had a letter about the power cut today (its Sunday morning) and the man in charge came to see me to apologise for the confusion over the days and gave me another letter which had a different time to the one I received earlier today! Confused, you bet! Anyway. they're replacing a pole, just up the road and we'll have no power from 7am - 11am. Think I'll stay in bed. RE: 2024 - Good morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 11-11-2024 The film crew are here. I know that because there's a man in a high vis jacket, standing beside a Road Closed sign, just outside my neighbour's house (one house downhill). She's just given him a cup of tea/coffee and a plate of biscuits, which he's put on top of her hedge. That's as much as I know! The sun's shining and my garden is calling to me more than the man in high vis. RE: 2024 - Good morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 11-11-2024 UPDATE I've been talking to the Hi vis man and watched the filming! There's a small drab green car going downhill, apparently the woman driver has blood on her face and a smashed windscreen. As she drives down the road, two police cars with blue lights drive uphill. They're filming it with a drone. All the action stops outside my neighbour Grace's house, two doors down so you won't see my house! It was interesting listening to the Hi vis man's walkie talkie....Hold action, pedestrians walking uphill......... "action car" (that's the green car) coming to you". There were two locals who wanted to drive down the road, when they saw the police cars coming towards them they thought it was genuine - "Have I done something wrong ?". I told them it was for parking in the middle of the road. |
