Then just lay it on a pot of compost. As I didn’t have anything suitable to pin it down. I held it in place with some small stones. It’s just to make sure the leaf has contacted with the compost. Then I put it in the heated propagator. As things are warming up you might be ok with an unheated propagator or a cloche/plastic bag over it. mine is out of the propagator now. Basically I pretty much did this https://www.gardenersworld.com/how-to/grow-plants/how-to-take-begonia-leaf-cuttings/ Which is the link Veggie posted just after our leaves arrived. You probably missed it. As you had far more important stuff going on at the time. I used Dr. Hessayan's method, cut leaves into pieces and planted the edges into soil. I will give your way a go. It can stay on the windowsill in the kitchen, that should be warm enough. What I'm going to do with several baby snails, I don't know. Friends don't know what's in the offing if I get babies. RE: Begonia Rex "Escargot" - Veggie - 05-03-2025 I've given Big Momma Snail a drink to prepare her offspring for the journey tomorrow.
