RE: Special Offers - JJB - 25-02-2023 I had a look at it but as I didn't want the book (a paperback for a tenner?) nor the unspecified seeds, I didn't look any deeper. If you want the book it could be a bargain, the seeds did look a bit different than the bog standard T&M bargain varieties. RE: Special Offers - Veggie - 25-02-2023 Does it list the random seeds anywhere? Just curious as I have a similar book about wartime gardening. Just curious as I have a similar book about wartime gardening.Nah from what I can see, no seed list. I can get the book second hand for under a fiver. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/10046609954?iid=334534517216 So not so sure if the extra for the seeds is worth it? PS Just had a thought, I imagine the current trend for 'No Dig' would have went down like the Hindenburg in those days! RE: Special Offers - Veggie - 25-02-2023 Buy the Ebay one and save your money because you can buy a lot of seeds from Premier Seeds et al for £5 and they'd be seeds you chose not odds and ends from T&M/Suttons (same company). RE: Special Offers - Veggie - 25-02-2023 I don't have THAT book but I have a very similar book about Dig for Victory.. According to Amazon - 182 pages https://www.amazon.co.uk/Victory-Monthly-Growing-Guides-Commentary/dp/1838185704/ref=sr_1_2?adgrpid=1174279389225186&hvadid=73392675775562&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=132718&hvnetw=s&hvqmt=e&hvtargid=kwd-73392646582813%3Aloc-188&hydadcr=11471_2290465&keywords=john+harrison+dig+for+victory&qid=1677334952&sr=8-2 RE: Special Offers - Vinny - 25-02-2023 (25-02-2023, 06:53 PM)Veggie Wrote: I don't have THAT book but I have a very similar book about Dig for Victory..Bought it from ebay! I'd like to get the other half of my garden covered, and top up my existing beds a bit, but I haven't created anywhere close to enough finished compost in the past year.
