RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 03-10-2020 Fish finger sandwich chips and trusty side salad RE: Tonight’s recipe - JJB - 03-10-2020 A bit of a disaster in the kitchen today. I don't normally cook with chillis but his site has made me a bit more venturesome so I bought some on offer at the supermarket. Taste tested them, all ok, I could eat the flesh without a problem. Made tomato soup this morning, chucked in a thumb sized chopped chilli, confidently. Forgot to take the seeds out. The soup blew my head off when I taste tested it. Much faffing about made it edible. Meanwhile was making some American dinner rolls to go with the soup. Put the dough to rise in the airing cupboard for 30mins. Noticed not a lot of rise, gave it a bit more time, saw some rise but not what I expected. Long story short, bunged them in the oven. They were the doughiest, stodgiest rolls I've ever made. They soaked up the 'hot' soup remarkably well. Good job P will eat anything put in front of him. My pals won't eat the blondies saying they're too sweet https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/jun/24/how-make-perfect-blondies-felicity-cloake RE: Tonight’s recipe - Admin - 03-10-2020 Jacket spuds tonight....need comfort after all this rain RE: Tonight’s recipe - Small chilli - 03-10-2020 Steak, chips & onion ring. This evening we had tagliatelle, Bol, garlic bread, pesto and a glass of red. |
