Live, bacon & onions.
I searched through the cooking bacon packs at Morries and found a pack  full  of thin sliced  bacon with very little fat for a quid! Cool The liver was £1.35 and the onion was from the allotment. I only used about quarter of the bacon pack so a cheap and tasty meal that will probably do me for the rest of the day.

I often buy those £1 packs - some are really good' Some trick you by putting a really good slice on the outside and filling the middle up with scraps! Like you, I have a good rummage, looking for obvious rashers, not the ones with "gammon" thick lumps.

Yeah I dont like the thick gammon lumps which are usually salt laden. If you imagine back bacon and the main meaty oval bit without the fat, that was what I got and each slice was/is exactly the same. Very good value at a squid! Big Grin

Kato and I are at a lovely one night stopover at Haydon Bridge, next to the river.

Just had a shared 'powerbowl' with mince and eggs fried in the motorhome.

Lovely riverside walk earlier. Another walk after Kato has had his mid-sfternoon kip then pork chops and black pudding are on my menu with chicken thigh and biscuits for Kato. Good TV and internet reception here so I may plug in my Amazon Firesick later and watch a movie?
