RE: Freecycle and similar websites - JJB - 06-09-2022 Same here Px are free for over 60s thank goodness but dental charges give me toothache first find an NHS dentist, but we're lucky P&I are with a really good practice. I believe dentists get a fairly raw deal from NHS funding, it's a shame, everything seems to be going to pot. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 12-09-2022 IN yesterday came a Cafetiere - a bigger one than the single cup one I've been using for my herb tea. Its good because, if I've boiled too much water, I can just add it to the pot. I haven't drunk coffee for about a month now - just Free herb tea - either given or from the garden. IN today came about 5kg of dog food, some dog chews and 3 tubs of meat. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 13-09-2022 Its been a wet day so I stayed in and had a tidy - offering some of the junk on the Freebie site. OFFERED - bin bag of clothes, a small radio, a brass teapot/kettle, a wooden plant pot, lots of foreign stamps., tumbledryer eco balls. Four of them will be OUT in the next few days. Time to offer some more clutter. IN came 3 fleece jackets - may wear all 3 at once and not turn the heating on this winter. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 19-09-2022 IN came 3 loaves of bread, 6 batons and the star prize, a stair climbing sack truck that turns into a flat bed trolley. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 20-09-2022 IN today came a herb pot, with 4 little openings on the sides for the herbs. It even came with a bag of compost inside it - an unwanted present that had been stuck in the garage and forgotten, apparently! Tomorrow I'm picking up some hamster cages (don't ask). RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Small chilli - 20-09-2022 Don’t ask !! Don’t be silly of course I’m going to ask . Are the hamster cages for Ted’s pet hedgehog . I can’t think of anything you could grow in them . RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 20-09-2022 I've no idea what they're like but there maybe about 8 of them. Apparently the owner used to run a hamster/mouse rescue and these are temporary cages, not big enough for a permanent home. I'm hoping to be able to use the wire top bits as crop protectors, maybe using the bases to propagate seedlings in with the tops on to keep the GH mice away. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - JJB - 21-09-2022 There's your reused item for harvest festival RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 21-09-2022 [attachment=5396] IN came this pile of cages for mice, hamsters and gerbils. One of them is a gerbilarium!!! Also collected a load of food to top up the Moneyless Chicken's Pantry. Packets of couscous, rice, noodles and some baby food that I'm giving to the dogs. From the freezer, packets of chicken, mince, bacon, fish and bread rolls. Plus a random assortment of toiletries and cleaning stuff |
