Very nice - I approve Big Grin Hope you'll be very happy together!
My brother went down the hybrid route for similar reasons as you - Think his is a Toyota.

Decided that because I often visit the coast with the Motorhome that I may as well do a bit of fishing? My trout fishing gear isn't suitable and it's only seasonal anyway.
My something different will be using a 12 foot beachcaster and reel along with the sea fishing paraphanalia, sinkers, hooks line etc which I have just purhased fron eBay and await it's delivery. Having done a bit of sea fishing in the past with some old gear I inherited (I lived closer to the coast then) I remember that purchasing bait from fishing shops was expensive, but their are otther alternatives! Rolleyes

Mackeral, sardines, musssels & squid or even some ox liver are all suitable baits and can be bought cheaply at supermakets.

It's whiting season just now and they are one of the tastiest fish methinks so looking forward to 'tight lines' Big Grin

Acquired and used an airfryer for the first time. Took me most of the afternoon to give it a good clean before using it and the cooked results didn't seem worth the effort. Disappointed. Just glad it was free. Big Grin

I was sceptical about them, now I have two, a small one for the motorhome and a bigger one for home and I love it. The bigger one hasa lift out section which stops whatever I'm cooking being immersed in fat.

I can put a full pack of six chicken thighs in for Kato and cook for 25 minutes then turn and cook for a durther 20 minutes and thay come out perfect.

I only use the fan oven now if whatever I am cooking (a large joint of meat for instance) won't fit in the air fryer! I am now on the lookout for silicon inserts so I can poach eggs in it! Big Grin

I don't have a conventional cooker - only an AGA which hasn't been turned on for several years, because it uses so much energy! All my cooking is done in a Halogen oven (that is sold as an air fryer) or with other gadgets. I thought this freeby would be better than the Halogen oven but I don't think it is, so I'm going to give it away before it becomes another unused bit of kitchen clutter. Its got it out of my system anyway - I have no wish for an airfrier now.

If a different type comes available as a freebie. I highly recommend you try it. Not all air fryers are the same. I can see how the little oven type one you’ve got is no better than your halogen oven. My friend has one and frankly as far as I can tell, it’s just a mini oven. Especially by the cooking timings, I see very little difference. I may be wrong. That’s just my observations. As I’ve never used one of that type myself.

I have a halogen oven in the attic which my eldest Son gave me a few years back. It was brand new and in original packaging. I figured that if he didn't want or use it, it must be no good so I  just stuffed it in the attic! Rolleyes Happy with air fryers, so it can stay where it is! Smile

I reheating croissants in the air fryer yesterday instead of using the oven.  Very tasty.

Thanks all Big Grin I'm sure this airfryer would be great if I'd didn't already have the halogen thingy but I can't justify the worktop space for 2 things that seem to do much the same thing. Its too big to put in a cupboard and pull out when required.
I've got used to the halogen oven and I even have 2 more, lurking in the garage, as spares. People are always giving them away, one is brand new, still in a box. Big Grin
I'm glad I tried the airfryer and got it out of my system.
