Three scrambled buttered eggs for brekkie with chilli flakes added. I have a couple of sirloin steaks in fridge which will probably be used later. I am snowed in at the moment and can't get car out. Even if I did, the roads are treacherous.
I am not too bothered as it is a way of emptying the freezer which is bursting at the seams. I remember when we lived in the sticks getting snowed in for six weeks at a time as a kid. I really enjoyed the time off school! Big Grin I could walk a mile and get a bus I suppose, but I aint that desperate yet and haven't used my bus pass since I got it, over five years ago! Rolleyes

After a rather larger than normal lunch, using up crispy cooked nibbles breaded haloumi sticks, mushroom anancini, spring rolls, coconut prawns, etc.
I'm thinking soup and toast or cheesy toasted sandwiches for evening meal.

Bacon, onion, mushroom carbonara type thing.

RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Bren - 08-01-2025

Veg burgers with bean salad, mixed lettuce and homemade coleslaw.

RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Veggie - 08-01-2025

B. Porridge, wheat flakes, flax, raisins & yogurt
L. Crisp sandwiches and a pear
D. Three Veggie sausages, carrot, parsnip & potato mash and a "gravy" made from the diluted remains of a jar of fig & date chutney.

Probably have a mince pie later as Aldi were selling them off for 20p a box of 6. I didn't have any over Christmas as they were full price Smile
All FREE except the sausages - I think they worked out to be 20p each, so 60p.

Haddock, potatoes, butterbeans in a tomato sauce.
