RE: Seven Jobs for the week - JJB - 23-01-2022 Today I managed to complete some of last week's outdoor jobs, but seeing as I'm not allowed to bring them forward and mark them done for the coming week, I'll have to think up new ones. Done today Sowed b. beans and peas but I'm not at all confident they'll perform in this cold, so those jobs, although done are slightly useless. Cleared old tomato tubs. Continued digging over gh2 border picking out teabag casings. Barricaded hole in manure bin against rats. I didn't think they'd be interested in a purely manure bin, maybe it was warm. New tasks Outdoor 1. Check for rat holes in manure bin. 2. Set trap if they reappear. 3. Keep teabags separate from kitchen compost, having collected a load - not quite figured out the plan here. DONE 4. Start weeding out bittercress from places I can reach without going on the soil DONE A BIT 5. Find the caterpillar that's eating the chard in gh HE'S HIDING! 6. Check on bijou peas. They don't need extra support because the tips got frosted with -6 temperatures. THEY GOT FROSTED 7. Think about tidying the shed I THOUGHT ABOUT IT Indoor 1. Wrap up friend's birthday presents DONE 2. Tidy spare room bed where presents were. DONE SORT OF 3. Take P to opticians appointment- he doesn't drive HE TOOK THE BUS 4. Dye hair - horrible job, hate it but vanity wins every time. DONE 5. Sort out second pantry cupboard, I have no idea what is in there. 6. Dust & hoover 7. Go out to lunch for friend's birthday and take a lemon roulade as birthday cake - do I dare put masses of candles on it??? DONE, GREAT SUCCESS |
