Planted some dwarf tomatoes in a long planter. Did some pruning of shrubs. Chopped some brambles on the boundary. Moved a courgette seedling into a bigger pot and sowed some more seeds in the modules that hadn't germinated. .
Found a self seeded patch of ragged leaf kale seedlings. Lots of them. Since they like it there, I'll let them stay.

Put all the plants from the hardening off be ch back in the polytunnel. As it was flipping cold & windy. Temperature meant to drop to only 1 degree tonight as well. Help move stuff with the digger. Basically the grounds person hooking thing on and unhooking once moved. Then went to work.

I set up frost stat and heater in gh1. My dahlias are sprouting (miraculously) and we're getting below 0's at night, I'd rather not risk it. The props are full and I have tomatoes indoors that have go into the gh. Prepared ground and planted yet more sweet peas. I'm running out of places they can go. P continued weeding out chickweed and speedwell.

Shopping this morning then more log stacking.

Planted out a row of broadbeans and some broccoli and cabbages. I was going to plant out the broadbeans yesterday but it was too windy. Today was too sunny really but they were getting pot bound and sappy.

Filled the garden waste bins with brambles and vinca. Cut back the forsythia (a bit) - still more to do but I had to remove the brambles from it first.
Planted another tomato plant in its final position in the GH.

This evening I had the curtains of the neighbours twitching. Big Grin

I bought loads of cheap meat on Easter deals. Legs of lamb were too much for me to eat in one go so I proceded to Halve them. To do this I used the chopping block in the garden I use for chopping sticks, I used a bow saw and meat clever to chop through the bone and a filleting knife to cut the flesh. My stick chopping block is now a  bloody mess and God knows what the neighbours thought I was hacking away at! Rolleyes

Funny that, I bought a whole leg (the half legs weren't on offer) and was quizzing P how to cut in half. He wasn't too sure whether his saw, all stained and oily would do the trick. Plan B is to cook it whole and freeze the rest or de-bone the whole thing and then divide the meat.

I still have another one to do but can't be arrised to go through the chopping process again. I have the same choices to make as you, de bone or cook whole and eat over a couple of days. I don't particularily like re-heated lamb though?

Cut the big chunks of meat off and freeze them. Then cook the remainder and gnaw on it like a Viking - or give it to Kato as an Easter treat.
