Well I never! They're two a penny down here.
We usually have a competition to see who can spot the first one when we’re heading down south. Jay’s have only just moved to the island in the last 4or 5 years. See them occasionally.

Not exactly flying, but sitting in the summerhouse eating our picnic lunch, the cuckoo is sounding off. It's years since I've heard a cuckoo around here. Initially I thought it was a pigeon who'd lost its coo, but no its definitely a cuckoo. It's nothing if not vocally persistent.
