We had about an hours heavy rain which was very welcome, shame I'd just put out our huge 5m lounge curtains to dry.

Hot, dry and windy so excellent for washing and drying the gîte laundry, less good for the drought.
I look at 2 forecasts, the first gives us no rain and only one day below 30 for the next fortnight. The second, the threat of storms over the weekend and a few cooler days.

my old mum used to say she listened to radio solent rather than the local radio because it had nicer weather forecasts, not sure she ever determined which one was accurate It's overcast here no promise of rain and 24°

Rain all morning and quite heavy too (yay!), then the clouds broke up and we had sunshine this afternoon. Just a shame I had no energy to go out to sit in the sun

38 yesterday but luckily the threatened 22 overnight was actually a very pleasant 15 by this morning. Due to be hotter and sunny all day today, but I see little floaty white clouds and they might keep the heat down a little.
