RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Vinny - 02-07-2022 Morning all Helen used to feed foxes, cost me a fortune in chicken thighs each day! Anyway, Kato was a facebook sensation last night. I was in bed and unbeknown to me he escaped and had a midnight wander. It wasn't unril i got a knock at the door at 1.30am and came down stairs to find three lads with Kato. As soon as I opened the door he bolted inside and I thanked the lads who told me he was sitting outside the front door. He had managed to open the french doors at the back and escape. Since i was up anyway I fired up the pooter to find out that Kato had become a facebook sensation with photographs of him and sightings all round the neighbourhood! I had to appologise to one guy because he had been trying to keep him off the road and Kato attacked him! He was very good about it and said he thought Kato felt threatened and gave him a warning. Alls well that ends well i suppose but he is lyingn here giving me cow eyes. It is the first time of escaping that he has actually made his own way home thank goodness. Can't understnd why he was sitting at the front door though when he had pushed the back door wide open? RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 02-07-2022 Norty Kato. Good job you didn't know he'd escaped as you wouldn't have been able to sleep. Glad he's safe and sound now. x RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Broadway - 02-07-2022 (01-07-2022, 07:19 PM)Veggie Wrote: Today was a day of mixed emotions!Smashing post Veggie RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 07-07-2022 Popped into Morries today (for a change and had a chat with the florist who makes up bouquets from whatever flowers you select. We discussed the flowers available with me saying that I'd only buy the flowers that stood a chance of providing cuttings - like the carnations and chrysanths. Some of the greenery would probably be OK too - like the eucalyptus. Interestingly, she said that the one flower that she didn't like was Gladioli because they only go where they want to go and are really hard to arrange. She showed me some half price boxes of summer plants - probably bulbs and roots in bags in them. No idea really but when I saw Crocosmia on the box I shuddered. RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - SarrissUK - 07-07-2022 I bought a eucalyptus a while ago, and I think it might have died in the sun while I was away, but if it doesn't recover, I'll go buy some at Morries and give it a go! RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Vinny - 08-07-2022 Morning all A trip to the allotment is on the cards for today. Jobs that need doing are harvesting onions, strawberies, gooseberries and blackcurrants. I also hope to plant out some PSB, some cauli's and some calabrese. Luckily I have areas in mind that I have already prepared so it shouldn't be too much of an issue! On the home front I have finally managed to get an avocado stone to grow a root and a tiny shoot from the top. RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - JJB - 08-07-2022 Replaced the shading on the ghs now the sun's out and the temps are forecast to soar. As you know from the roques gallery I'm a bottle blonde to cover the grey. In a mad moment I decided to go darker. I'm no longer blonde and I hate it. I can't be faffed to re-dye it so I've a fair few weeks of getting used to it.....never again, it'll be grey or blonde forever from now on RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 08-07-2022 What colour were you when you were, ahem, younger? In my younger youf when abroad in the sun with long hair a true blonde, back in Blighty in the dull probably a light shade of mousey. I've been a daft dizzy blonde for most of my life, most of the time a bottle blonde. How about you? RE: 2022 - Good Morning, Afternoon, Night - Veggie - 09-07-2022 Brown, just brown with a hint of reddish but started going grey at 40. Now, the only hint of brown is at the top of my neck where the hair starts, and to find it you have to lift the white stuff up and look beneath. I tried henna once and my hair went orange. Had it tinted a plum colour too but after a few washes someone asked me if I knew that my hair was pink at the back! Gave up after that and accepted my natural self. A young lad I worked with used to call me the "silver haired lady in the corner" and I was only 40 something! My elderly neighbour said I was blonde - but he is very short sighted. Someone else said that they could spot me in the woods because my hair shone like a light. - What they all meant was - I'm bright white and proud. |
