RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 10-04-2022 IN came a 500w electric heater that plugs into a wall socket and doesn't have trailing wires. Hoping to be able to use this to heat wherever I am, rather than heating the house. Also IN came a cheese lover's gift pack of mini pickled onions and 2 sorts of chutney, and a large plastic tray for the GH. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Admin - 10-04-2022 Really chuffed with my in, 16' x 8' minus the door. I am sure I will be able to knock one up. Anything for free is always good. [attachment=4603] RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 10-04-2022 Very nice IN, Boss. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 11-04-2022 IN today - 3 of those big stacking trays like they use in shops for veg. I fill them with compost as mini raised beds on a table. Also 3 sourdough loaves and some shampoo/conditioner/hand cream. OUT - Lovage plants and Apple mint cuttings for a charity plant sale. Oh wow, very nice! RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 12-04-2022 Some good INs today :- 14 tins of food, mostly fruit and soup and 4 jars of pasta and curry sauces (about half are past their use by date by a couple of months). A big tub of Royal Canin dog biscuits A knife box for storing knives. Its see through so you can see which blades belong to which handle. I've always struggled with that with the wooden knife blocks Eight tiny floral metal tins - not sure what I'll use them for but they came with the knife thingy. A drain unblocker, still wrapped in box. You never know when you'll have a blockage. OUT went 2 big bags of lovage and chard leaves for the lady with the dehydrator. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 20-04-2022 INs have been an Electric Frying pan (too big so became an OUT) A brand new GrowLight with fittings (again too big so became an OUT). Two bags of bananas and a box of mushrooms Time to experiment with King Arthur the dehydrator. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 20-04-2022 BTW it takes 4 bananas to cover one dehydrator tray. Good job I'm picking up another 5 bunches tomorrow. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 21-04-2022 IN - 5 more bunches of bananas - or should I say "hands", each banana being a finger. A very nice waterproof coat, a personal panic alarm which should have been a bluetooth speaker and 2 bars of chocolate in the bag because its Easter. A huge bunch of sage cuttings that I swapped for Apple mint cuttings. If all the sage grows I can grow a sage forest. OUT went a bunch of bananas and the cuddly lamb that I left in my brother's "parcel" bin outside his front door. He was expecting an Amazon delivery! Apparently, he knew instantly that the only person who'd leave him bananas and a lamb was me. Going to have to leave something really daft next. RE: Freecycle and similar websites - Veggie - 25-04-2022 IN today - 2 bags of dog food and an assortment of bread, roll, baguettes, a sliced loaf and a pair of bloomers ........olive and a cheese one. OUT went a garden umbrella stand; also a carrier bag full of toiletries/makeup that I've been given but will never use - they've gone to a lady hosting a family of Ukrainian refugees. |
