RE: Burning unseasoned wood? - Veggie - 08-12-2022 Still burning ash from the big tree that had to come down with some small stuff from plum and apple trees. All stashed in the log store/old car port where I also dry my washing. Two wheelie bins of logs parked outside the living room doors, ready to top up the log basket. Our next lot of coal ( if we buy any ) will of doubled in price £38 a bag.My daughter ha a multi fuel stove similar to mine. Because of coal burning she is always haivng to replace parts, grate etc, numerous times. Because I only burn wood I have never had to replace the grate in about seven years of burning.
