Put a lid on top them left them in the hall for a few weeks. They've popped up quite well so now on a sunny windowsill in the kitchen. RE: Fifty Shades of Aquilegias - Veggie - 28-07-2025 Thanks for bumping this - I've been meaning to collect some aquilegia seeds from the plant at #2. Just taken a big, used envelope down to the plant and snipped off most of the seed heads into it. Aahh!!. The satisfying sound of seeds rattling into an envelope. What I didn't realise until I came back to the house and put the envelope down was...............there's a tiny hole in the bottom of the envelope where the glue has come unstuck!! So, unintentionally, I have scattered aquilegia seeds the length of the path back to the house. ![]() The good news is......... 1. There are still hundreds of seeds and 2. I like them - lots!! RE: Fifty Shades of Aquilegias - Small chilli - 29-07-2025 Aquilegia are some of my favourite seeds. Tiny, shiny black, almost pyramid shaped. I let lots fall in situ this year. When I did cut the seed heads off, I shook them on to the post box bed. Too much chance of the growing medium drying out, or the seeds getting cooked if you have a cover over them.(28-07-2025, 12:35 PM)toomanytommytoes Wrote:Carp!(02-06-2025, 09:49 AM)JJB Wrote: I've sown my Aquilegia McKenna Giant & Crown Jewels mixed.
