RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - SarrissUK - 23-03-2022 Congratulations Pros - that's wonderful news! Well done!! RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - PyreneesPlot - 24-03-2022 Well done Pros! The thoroughness (or excessive bureaucracy if you prefer) in France. While we were skiing yesterday someone drove into our car in the carpark with enough force to damage both it and the car parked in front of us. The driver then did a flit At the gendarmerie MrPP spent an hour filling in forms and having photos taken of the damage. They don't expect to catch the person but at least it felt like they were being thorough and that they cared! RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - PyreneesPlot - 28-03-2022 Swallows! RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - SarrissUK - 28-03-2022 My partner loves his handheld vacuum cleaners. I don't - the suction is just not up to it, especially when it comes to corners, and cat litter sand/crystals. Today I convinced him that we need a bagless cylinder vacuum that stays on the floor, with a long tube. I had to whisper the price of the Miele gently to him to keep his heart rate within a safe range But it's made me happy! I know it will be many, many years before I need to worry about getting another! RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - JJB - 29-03-2022 Probably cheaper than a Dyson!. Are we women just pre-programmed to be happy with new domestic appliances?? I can get excited about a new cooker, fridge or microwave, but a new belt sander or even a car leaves me cold. Not sure about a vacuum though. May you have many happy years with Mr. Meile. Obviously a different model to yours because it takes bags. I hate the Bl00dy thing. Loathsome bit of kit to use. They also have a shark. Love that. Seeds germinating, bulbs starting to flower RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - SarrissUK - 29-03-2022 (29-03-2022, 10:26 AM)Small chilli Wrote:(28-03-2022, 09:17 PM)SarrissUK Wrote: My partner loves his handheld vacuum cleaners. Today I convinced him that we need a bagless cylinder vacuum that stays on the floor, with a long tube. I had to whisper the price of the Miele gently to him to keep his heart rate within a safe range I'd definitely be just as happy with a belt sander, though I find it's rubbish at cleaning the floors haha We have a Shark, an upright, and we have another upright, both rechargeable, and they're great for the floor in general, but really hard for my wrists, and rubbish with cat litter and bigger bits. And not great at getting close to walls or edges of anything, so hair comes back out from under the sofa, despite hoovering two minutes ago. With seven cats and three dogs, suction is important I know the Miele won't let me down, and it's making me happy again today, because I had a notification it is going to be delivered tomorrow RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - Mark_Riga - 29-03-2022 (28-03-2022, 09:17 PM)SarrissUK Wrote: My partner loves his handheld vacuum cleaners. It flew at me and gave a little sting on the wrist as if to say "Don't try that again." RE: 2022 - What's made you happy today - JJB - 29-03-2022 (29-03-2022, 09:53 PM)Mark_Riga Wrote: I quite agree. Unbeknownst to me a wasp had settled on our toilet seat. Guess who went to have a wee and the wasp retaliated to being sat on by stinging her bottom! |
