RE: An Alphabet of Tomatoes - Garrett - 21-02-2026 Green tomatoes change their appearance. They go from an opaque, milky look to translucent when ripe. I wait for that visual change then give them a gentle squeeze. I really like them, they're more zesty than tangy. Very fresh and they make for a lovely mozzarella salad.
