RE: 2026 - Doing something new/different - Small chilli - 31-01-2026 First outside shower of the year. Going out tonight and no holiday cottage empty. Our friends down the road say we can use their shower anytime. Which is very kind of them. On occasion I do take them up on the offer. As I know that shower well, as we lived there for almost a year ourselves. I know our temporary outdoor one has better water pressure. And the heater has never worked in that bathroom. Being cold when you step out of a shower outside is much more acceptable to me. Than getting cold when you get out of a shower in a house. Am I weird? Also didn’t want to impose today as they have house guests anyway. RE: 2026 - Doing something new/different - Small chilli - 06-03-2026 Put reminder on my tablet calendar to sow seeds later in the year. RE: 2026 - Doing something new/different - Small chilli - 09-04-2026 Just had cauliflower broccoli cheese ( not new ) , topped it with a sprinkling of sunflower & pumpkin seeds. It was lovely. Will definitely be doing that again. RE: 2026 - Doing something new/different - Veggie - 09-04-2026 I like adding sunflower and pumpkin seeds to salads for a bit of crunch - so I'm sure they'd be perfect on caulibroc cheese as you've done! Must try that next time . Must try that next time . They're also good in porrige. For savoury things, try dry frying them first and adding a bit of salt, even nuttier taste. TBH just a spoonful of seeds to munch is good. I've never tried them on a 'bake' but will do. Might be nice added to roasted toms. |
