RE: £1 a day Challenge - Veggie - 17-10-2025

Today, I parked in Morrisons Carpark, killing time until I could collect the Olio bread. Didn't have the address but knew it was near Morries. I was very tempted to pop in to look for bargains but knew it would be a step too far to come out emptyhanded. I read my car manual instead Big Grin

Still £28.16 in the kitty.

RE: £1 a day Challenge - Veggie - 20-10-2025

I confess to going to Morries yesterday. Its where I buy my petrol and, I just had to go in store to see if anything was YS!
It cost the Kitty £7.56 for some YS veggie sausages, a Thai Green curry, a Lobster Mac & cheese, 2 boxes of battered fish, a whole kipper and 3 bunches of bananas (20p each).
£20.60 left in the Kitty for the rest of October.

Back to Morries today as I needed dog food and butter. Ended up spending £6.68 of the Kitty , mostly on veggie sausages, butter and YS Mushrooms.
£13.92 remaining and a week to go! I'll do it easily. Big Grin

Does TooGoodToGo £5 meal need to come out of that?

RE: £1 a day Challenge - Veggie - 24-10-2025

No, because I didn't buy it. Big Grin

Spent £2.25 in Morries yesterday...............but, I had a £5 money off voucher so I'm an additional £2.75 in credit. Big Grin

Ending the month with £16.67 in the Kitty Jar. Tomorrow, I'll add another £30 to see me through November. Hadn't realised this would be so easy!!

Spoke too soon. Popped into Aldi today as I'd heard they'd marked down lots of food items to silly money, like 29p. All I found were some Veggie meals for 49p, yogurt 95p and YS Large eggs for £1.39. So I spent £3.81. Total Spend for October £23.14. The Kitty Jar was £31 + £5 Morries voucher. So, there should be £12.86 left in the Kitty Jar. Happy with that. Big Grin

I got a free £1 pumpkin on my Morries more card. I have a couple of similar sized pumpkins at the allotment, but because it was for nowt, I thought, why not? Big Grin Big Grin

First spend from the November Kitty Jar £30. (I've "banked" the £12.86 leftover from October).
Bought mushrooms, red onions, easy peeler tangerines and some YS Chocolate eclairs. Cost £1.88.
£28.12 left in the Kitty Jar.

My only concession to fruit is some easy peelers, although I limit myself to one evey couple of days! Smile
