RE: Tall rosemary - JJB - 16-11-2022 I think you might be right about the pruning. My rosemary hardly ever gets tip pruned, in fact I don't use it very often. P just hacks the sides back occasionally to maintain access up the slope for machinery. RE: Tall rosemary - Scarlet - 16-11-2022 Thank you JJB... cuttings arrived! Potted up and ive got them on sons old snake heat mat to see if i can encourage some roots! I'm always picking bits off mine so I guess it’s bound to make them shrubby.(16-11-2022, 07:56 AM)Farendwoman Wrote: Mine (no name , it came with the house) is over three feet tall, but very bushy/shrubby. No nice stems for cutting.Do you think its because we cut them so much? Mine have short stems, the pub ones are easily 2ft plus long and straight. RE: Tall rosemary - Veggie - 17-11-2022 I went to a lady's house this morning and, beside the front door, was a really robust rosemary. The stems looked like fir trees and there were flowers on the lower half of each main branch. It was about 3' tall. I now have cuttings - with the owner's permission. She said, take what you like, don't be modest. RE: Tall rosemary - Scarlet - 17-11-2022 You know where i live RE: Tall rosemary - Scarlet - 17-11-2022 I have been researching rosemary varieties and I think there maybe varieties that have long straight stems, often much taller and more upright. I feel another trip to jekkas may be on the cards next year. RE: Tall rosemary - Veggie - 17-11-2022 (17-11-2022, 02:33 PM)Scarlet Wrote: You know where i liveNo - you didn't send me your address.
