RE: ID please - Scarlet - 29-04-2022 Me too! RE: ID please - Small chilli - 29-04-2022 Thank you ladies RE: ID please - Mark_Riga - 09-05-2022 Anyone know what these cut flowers are and are they easy to grow? They are a bit like small lilies but with no scent. They came through the post mid March and are just starting to fade now. [attachment=4777] [attachment=4778] RE: ID please - Small chilli - 09-05-2022 Alstroemeria. Grow really well. Don’t seem to grow easily from seed. But plants grow very well. RE: ID please - Small chilli - 01-06-2022 Another possibility impossible ask. I brought this very lovely camellia [attachment=4824] I brought because it supposed to be lady Campbell (red). I don’t think it is what it said on the tin. I don’t mind it’s still a very nice dark pink which is different to the one I’ve already got. I’ll not be asking for a swap or refund, but I would like to put a name to it if possible. Any idea? It seems like it might be quite recognisable to a more experienced camellia grower, with its very open flower and bright yellow stamens. RE: ID please - Small chilli - 12-07-2022 More work for you all . I’ve got a couple that I’m not sure about. This one is coming back as a Picea morrisonicola when I do a google image search? [attachment=5037] This one is coming back as a hydrangea ? leaves seem small for a hydrangea. Definitely not the same as any of the other hydrangeas I’ve got cuttings from. Or the big grown up ones in the garden. [attachment=5038] [attachment=5039] [attachment=5040] The variegated one veggie identified on the other thread yesterday was obviously correct . Thank you. RE: ID please - Farendwoman - 12-07-2022 Definitely hydrangea. Leaf shape and flower shape look v similar to my “Vanilla Fraises” - . Though vanilla fraises flowers are slightly pinkier and stems are reddish. RE: ID please - Farendwoman - 12-07-2022 Your stems are reddish too and I can see a bit of pink on flowers. Reckon that it is vanilla fraises. RE: ID please - Small chilli - 12-07-2022 Thanks farendwoman. I’ve just google vanilla fraises. wow! I really hope it turns into that. That’s lovely. Will be watching that flower develop very closely. RE: ID please - Veggie - 12-07-2022 According to Wiki, that pine is native to Taiwan and only found there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picea_morrisonicola I think Google images is trying too hard. |
