RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - Veggie - 18-09-2023 I have lots more seeds so don't buy any. I'll send them out with our next seed swap. Maybe I'll manage to grow one next year! RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - JJB - 18-09-2023 I'm looking forward to eating it. It will keep us going for a week or more. RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - Small chilli - 18-09-2023 Thank you veggie. I’d really like to try again next year. It’d would be great if you’d play too . You have excellent giant veg growing weather . I’m also looking forward to the eating part as well. Pumpkin chips, pumpkin risotto, pumpkin soup. Roast pumpkin, spiced pumpkin seeds. And any other recipe I can find RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - doublyjonah - 18-09-2023 I did read that they're not bad for eating, but I've only been thinking about the growing - never the eating I definitely want to try again. I didn't "feed" mine but I did grow it in heavily manured, newly compost-covered ground and it made its own path. I watered it sometimes but definitely not enough for a true giant. It's really not growing at this point, I don't think, but I still have fun visiting it at the plot RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - JJB - 19-09-2023 Weighing them is going to be interesting RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - Small chilli - 19-09-2023 (19-09-2023, 10:17 AM)JJB Wrote: Weighing them is going to be interestingI going with Bathroom scales RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - JJB - 19-09-2023 I have some luggage spring balance scales somewhere which might do the job. RE: Giant Veg grower's Christmas meals - Veggie - 09-10-2023 More Giant Veg and a pumpkin on the back of a flat bed truck (to give the pumpkin growers something to aim for). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-66994957?at_campaign=Social_Flow&at_ptr_name=facebook_page&at_link_origin=BBC_Wales_News&at_link_type=web_link&at_format=link&at_campaign_type=owned&at_medium=social&at_link_id=2284C124-65E1-11EE-B55A-640A3AE5AB7B&at_bbc_team=editorial |
