RE: Aurora borealis - Jimny14 - 27-02-2023 Not at all jealous. RE: Aurora borealis - Bren - 27-02-2023 Great photos SC RE: Aurora borealis - SarrissUK - 27-02-2023 That's gorgeous SC - thank you for sharing! I've been out to see if we can see it down here, but it's too cloudy RE: Aurora borealis - Vinny - 27-02-2023 Is there a reason why it has suddenly become visible in places, or is this an annual event? RE: Aurora borealis - Veggie - 27-02-2023 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-64789261 Interesting article constantly being updated with the latest photos. I'm onto a loser here as I can't see a Northern horizon from the house - and I'm not going for a drive on the off chance that I'll see some lights. Also, I hadn't realised that the bright colours appear when you look through a camera lens as opposed to the naked eye. I'll enjoy other people's (especially Bob's) photos instead. RE: Aurora borealis - Small chilli - 28-02-2023 To cloudy here this evening, but it’s supposed to be another corker. RE: Aurora borealis - Veggie - 28-02-2023 Oh No! I was relying on you. Lots of photos on the BBC from Scotland tonight and I was sure you'd be seeing it too. RE: Aurora borealis - Can the Man - 28-02-2023 Super photos by Bob SC RE: Aurora borealis - SarrissUK - 28-02-2023 (27-02-2023, 11:34 PM)Vinny Wrote: Is there a reason why it has suddenly become visible in places, or is this an annual event? It's to do with solar flares on the sun I think. I have an app that tells me when the chances are good.. it's called AuroraWatch UK |
