When the lad was small I did exactly that. I dressed up as a witch for a Halloween kids party and was so successful I got complaints next day from the mothers that I had terrified their kids. I wasn't very popular.

Went to a local Christmas market this afternoon. Pick up our tea from a local bakery that had a stall there. Also a couple of Christmas presents for little brother and his family. A seaweed soap and a jam & marmalade.

I really can't remember why my better half bought sealing wax all those years ago but, after a lot of searching I found it!. Half a dozen pears have red, waxed stalks now.
For the record, the pears did last a bit longer but they've all shrivelled by now. Probably worth doing a few again (if there's a glut) as they were edible for longer than the unwaxed pears.

Harvested my first ever mashua tuber. Now to find out how to eat it.  Cool

Let us know what you do with it and what the flavour is like.

First up, I'm going to cut off the bottom tip (with roots ) and plant it. I'm going to try sprouting the top part too!
Hoping there are more tubers in the pot. This one was showing on the surface so I pulled it up.
