RE: What's in flower on 1st of month? - JJB - 10-06-2023 A bit late for the first of the the month, but who cares [attachment=6608] [attachment=6609] [attachment=6610] [attachment=6611] [attachment=6612] [attachment=6613] [attachment=6614] The first two are Morning Glories from a pkt called Sunrise Seranade, the white one is a complete surprise. Then a bog standard self seeded poppy, I was fascinated by the internal structure, it looked like it had been mechanically manufactured in its precision. Next a lonely water lily. The following two are clematis just starting to flower, Hagley Hybrid and Ville de Lyon. With the tail end Charlie being SC's seed swap nasturtiums battling through the drought in a very poor bit of soil. Not an ideal place for them to scramble but they may survive. The penstemons I managed to overwinter are still in their pots and beginning to flower and gasping to be planted the seed swap sweet peas are prolific. RE: What's in flower on 1st of month? - Small chilli - 05-11-2023 Not a lot at the moment but a few surprises I still have lupins, sweet William and a very brave sunflower flowering. Also winter pansy I’ll have to check what else I’ve got. RE: What's in flower on 1st of month? - Mark_Riga - 05-11-2023 I was only thinking of posting here when looking round the garden yesterday at the number still flowering. Lots of Dahlia, fuchsia, hydrangea, periwinkle, roses, anenomes and lots of borage. RE: What's in flower on 1st of month? - Veggie - 05-11-2023 Schizostylis/kaffir lily, pineapple sage, nasturtiums, feverfew, campion, fuchsias galore, possibly more! |
