Yippee, I'm in the next get vaccinated category (50+ with underlying health problems) but there are no slots available for the next week in the two nearest vaccine centres. Maybe next week.

Got my dates booked - 2nd and 28th April. I declined April the first
Pfizer-Biontech for me and MrPP, who gets it too as he lives with a vulnerable person.But I do have to go and see the GP first to get a prescription which seems very counter intuative. Let's see, you're in a vulnerable group so please go and sit in a Dr's waiting room with a load of sick people for half an hour to get a bit of paper that confirms you can have a jab that we've told you to go and get. Hmm.

Got my first jab this lunchtime
Vaccination centre was very quiet, so I was seen straight away even though I arrived early - I guess most people don't want to be sick over the weekend! No side-effects yet, but if you don't see me around this weekend, you'll know why.

I had a phone call from the district nurse today. She's coming to give my mum her second dose tomorrow. That's just 8 weeks between the two which is fantastic. I'm so happy for her and it takes a lot of worry off my shoulders

That's great. My mum(83) is now at 12 weeks between jabs and wondering if she should chase it up.
