RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Bren - 22-08-2025 Called at the Church and came home with oyster mushroom, wholemeal cobs and a pomegranate. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 23-08-2025 Went to the £5 x 2 Pantry today. For £10, I have a big bag of Nando's chicken wings, M&S Plaice fillets, pate, 2 tins of Spam, milk, frozen mash, lots of fresh fruit & veg, including 2 melons, pears, bananas, kiwifruit, peaches, passion fruit, tangerines, lemons & limes, sweetcorn, peppers, spring onions, lettuce, thyme, tarragon, butternut squash, (I refused apples and tomatoes), soft drinks, fruit juice, crisps, cakes, chocolate brownie bars, dry pasta, plus a big box of bread in various shapes and sizes. Lidl had baked too much so it was all up for grabs - including some mini-pizzas, baguettes, panini, rolls, loaves. I think its time to have a No-spend holiday while I reduce the food in the freezer. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Bren - 24-08-2025 My neighbour gave us a box of freshly picked plums, very tasty. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 26-08-2025 One of my regulars gave me two cakes - a lemon drizzle sponge and a jam & cream swiss roll. She has a health condition and won't risk eating out of date food - she knows I'll help her out.

I'm prepared to sit on the ground if there's cake, you might consider bringing your own tea (I hear she drinks that herbal stuff). Can you imagine the horror if it really happened! RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Bren - 27-08-2025 I'll bring along my usual Co-op lose leaf tea, along with a mug and plate like we did for school Christmas parties
