RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Vinny - 24-11-2025 Another sucessfull experiment for lunch! I had some mince that was four days out of date, but had been in the fridge and smelled fine! I deided to make some smashburgers and cheese with a difference. I remmeber someone adding apple fo summat on here so I got a cup full of my dehydrated apple and criushed it up on a chopping board. This along with a chopped onion from allotment was added to the mince and kneaded, divided into four balls ad flattened. The four smashburgers fitted into the air frier nicely and once cooked, turning once, had grated cheese added. Kato got 1.5 chopped up and I had 2.5. Burgers were enjoyable and I was surprised Kato didn't baulk at the onion and apple? but he just wolfed it down. ![]() While it was cooking I prepared my evening meal of lambs liver, bacon and onion all cut up and put in seperate bowls ready to fry up after my evening excercises.

RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Vinny - 26-11-2025 Another experiment, my version of a zero carb carnivore sausage casseole? I have sausages each chopped into three pieces browning in the air fryer now. I have mixed up shreeded mozzarella cheese, grated cheddar, parmesan cheese and four eggs together. To give it a bit of a kick I have put in some jalapeno's from a jar. Once sauseage is cooked and browned I will add it to the bottom of my caseole dish and pour the egg/cheese mixture over sauasage. To finish off befoe putting in oven I will sprinkle over some pork panko (gound pork scratchings) and cook in over for initially 30 mins before checking and cooking longer if need be. Looking forward to result! RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Vinny - 26-11-2025 Results of my experiment. The sausage casserole was/is a wee bit too salty?. I put this down to the inclusion of too much parmesan cheese methinks? It is very 'moorish' and I only managed to eat 1/4 of it at a sitting. I think it will still be tasty when cold and I am just about to try another quarter with some tomato sauce on it. I will deffo make it again sometime but maybe adjust the amounts of cheeses I use? |
