RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 28-03-2021 Roast chicken and the usual suspects RE: Tonight’s recipe - Veggie - 28-03-2021 Yellow Sticker night. A Beef-less Steak made from Seitan and Mushroom (Pack of 2 = 30p) Accompanied by "Vegetable Medley" Savoy Cabbage, Carrot batons, peas and cauliflower florets with salted butter (1 serving =9p) Followed by a Jam and cream doughnut (Pack of 2 = 33p) Total 41p at most and it'll be the same again tomorrow. Not sure that my pension will stretch to much more of this expensive lifestyle!! RE: Tonight’s recipe - JJB - 29-03-2021 That's the way to do it Veggie. I'm all for yellow stickers, had some lovely salmon pieces, enough for five, for 70p the other day. Makes it taste even better when it's a bargain. In my younger cash strapped days I used to put the money I'd saved in a pot for treats. Thank goodness those days are over. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Admin - 29-03-2021 I am not a real fan of buying frozen food, but last night we decided to try some cauliflower and broccoli gratins we got from Icelands, Definately getting some more, really nice! RE: Tonight’s recipe - Small chilli - 29-03-2021 Homemade beef burger topped with Monterey Jack cheese, chilli sauce & salad, in a homemade garlic bread bun. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Vinny - 29-03-2021 Cajun chicken breasts plus broccoli and mangetout with a cheese dip. Wonky strawberries and prunes with cream for afters. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 29-03-2021 Leftover chicken with rice & chorizo RE: Tonight’s recipe - Bren - 29-03-2021 (29-03-2021, 04:57 PM)Small chilli Wrote: Homemade beef burger topped with Monterey Jack cheese, chilli sauce & salad, in a homemade garlic bread bun.A similar evening meal here, homemade burgers topped with Stilton, garden salad, on freshly baked bread cobs. Baked some scones at the same time left a couple out for tomorrow the rest have gone in the freezer. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Vinny - 30-03-2021 Always look forward to Tuesdays as it is steak night/afternoon. Lightly cooked (Medium rare?) Ribeye steak with salad followed by strawberries and cream. Poor dog was sitting drooling so I had to give him a piece eventually (begrudgingly) RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 30-03-2021 Pizza chips & salad |
