RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - Veggie - 24-06-2022 I eat one or two every night and I've dehydrated a jar-full (about 6 courgettes). RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - PyreneesPlot - 24-06-2022 Gherkins RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - JJB - 25-06-2022 A very small bunch of sweet peas, a real bonus as the seeds were eons old and only three germinated, they smell lovely and have reminded me to buy some for next year. Any recommendations? RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - Veggie - 25-06-2022 Tomatoes - little tiddly ones from the early sowings. Any recommendations? You could save some seeds from the ones you are growing, you only need a few pods to ripen. RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - Mark_Riga - 25-06-2022 I dug up my remaining early potatoes (or rather my Manchester daughter did), some garlic, cucumbers, onions and beetroots. I was surprised how large the beetroots had grown having been sown mid march. Then a kilo each of redcurrants and gooseberries which daughter took with her. I need about 10kg of red currants for my morning porridge. I've not had many raspberries, strawberries or cherries as the squirrels seem to be partial to those. I need bout 6kg of raspberries as well which I should get in the autumn. The blasted squirrels made a big hole in the fruit cage while I was away and quite a lot of red currants had been eaten by the blackbirds. Since I fixed the hole, I've seen them bouncing on the roof where it was and squawking before flying away. RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - Can the Man - 25-06-2022 My first raspberry plus a bowl of strawberries RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - JJB - 26-06-2022 (25-06-2022, 08:59 PM)Mark_Riga Wrote:(25-06-2022, 03:09 PM)JJB Wrote: A very small bunch of sweet peas, a real bonus as the seeds were eons old and only three germinated, they smell lovely and have reminded me to buy some for next year. Any recommendations? Definitely planning that, but with only 3 plants my colours are limited, so I'm going to treat myself to more to get more diversity. Plus it's an excuse to browse seeds RE: 2022 = What I harvested today - Vinny - 26-06-2022 Today I harvested some rather puny garlic and shallots along with elephant garlic scapes and another bucket of strawberries. |
