This one's more complex!
Choose one letter from each of the words in the left hand column which will still leave a word and, when put in the right-hand column, will form a new word.
Write that letter in the centre column. When finished, the centre column will spell a word.

2. CHAT ( ) SOCK
3. BRAIN ( ) PLOT
4. SPOIL ( ) SOON
5. SMELL ( ) SEAR
