Went to the £5 Pantry today - first time for months! Apparently they've been receiving lots of M&S food since their systems were hacked. At least the food they couldn't sell hasn't been wasted.
I collected Prawns, Fish pie, KFC, quiche, milk, yogurt, avocadoes, lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumber, potatoes, apples, oranges, pears, tins of sweetcorn, tuna & mackerel, breakfast cereal and cereal bars, crisps, Welsh cakes, iced buns, bread, sandwiches and, you'll never guess - Dog poo bags. Big Grin
Afterwards, I went to the Free Books and Clothes church and swapped some books.
Next Stop the Prawn Lady to give her a large Slow cooker (that I'll never use) and some toiletries (ditto).

We went to loppis, second hand shops yesterday for a treat - we love diving in and finding bargains and things that might become useful at some point. One is in the village next to ours, and it's heavenly if you like stuff piled on top of each other and you never know what you'll find if you lift something up lol We found three hangers for plates (triangles with springs and hooks), a pretty plant pot, a sack full of plastic boxes (think Tupperware or similar), a pretty picture for the wall, all for about 12 pounds. I might go back for the plastic kitchen sink they are selling for a tenner that I might want to use in the garden!
We went on to one more and found the chairs and the growtable that I mentioned in another post.

We LOVE second hand!

IN today came a Food Processor and a Blender. Took me a while to work out what parts belonged to which and what they were for! Not sure how much I'll use them. I really should get the Kenwood Chef down from the top shelf (with help) and use that, instead of acquiring all these other gadgets!

Just back from the FREE Food church - last to arrive, as usual, as it means that I'm collecting food "waste", not taking food from anyone who needs it.
Leftovers today were Waitrose bread - enough loaves to last me a few weeks, bananas, big flat green beans, baby carrots, 3 bunches of rooted spring onions (that I'll replant), some individual cakes and biscuits, rice pudding, a pack of garlic powder, some frozen cocktail sausages and potato slices.

This week I gave away 3 bags of Fiery Hot Doritos and some kids' type sweets (Refreshers, Love Hearts, Sherbert, bubble gum etc). In return. I was given a bag of small plums? cherry plums.
Today, I gave 12 Ring Binders and lots of polypockets to a music teaching friend who is making song sheet folders for an Alzheimers group that she works with. She was telling me how many people can have memories awakened by hearing the songs they knew when they were younger.
