RE: Vaccine roll out. - Veggie - 06-03-2021 Have you had both doses, Mamzie? RE: Vaccine roll out. - Mamzie - 06-03-2021 No just the first one , Oxford, end of January, but it knocked me for six. Was quite ill for two weeks and have been in arthritis flare up since then. Actually got downstairs for 6 hours today, but back up lying flat now. Will still have the second dose , and the vaccine will at least let me have fighting chance against Covid. I hate to think how I would have been with Covid x RE: Vaccine roll out. - Mamzie - 06-03-2021 I lost most of my early tomatoes as well as was like a zombie with flu two weeks immediately afterwards. Just had energy to resort today for sowing and feel like I have walked miles. Didn't even sow any x RE: Vaccine roll out. - JJB - 06-03-2021 Sorry you've been poorly Mamzie, hope you feel better soon. I'd bring you some of mine if you weren't on the other side of the country! RE: Vaccine roll out. - Eyren - 06-03-2021 I got my letter today, and have made appointments for both my jabs I could have had the first one next weekend, but I didn't want to ruin my holiday so I've booked it for the last Friday before I go back to work. That way I should be able to get most if not all of my gardening done - and there's lot's to do! Second appointment is mid-June, when things are a bit quieter on the garden front. Hopefully I'll only be unwell for a day or so - Mr E felt, and I quote, "rough as a badger's arse" yesterday after his vaccination on Thursday afternoon, but is feeling somewhat better today. Worst case scenario, I have to take some time off sick instead of going back to work on the 29th. RE: Vaccine roll out. - Veggie - 06-03-2021 Truly sorry that's you've been so poorly, Mamzie. Hopefully, the 2nd one won't be as bad. I feel embarrassed now to say that I've had both jabs and, apart from a sore arm for a couple of days, I had no other reaction. RE: Vaccine roll out. - Bren - 06-03-2021 Welcome back Mamzie sorry to read you've ben ill. xx I had my jab AZ a couple of hours ago so to soon yet to feel any symptoms it was very quick in and out no queues at all. I'm still going weekly for the Lateral flow test that they're doing in our village. RE: Vaccine roll out. - Mamzie - 06-03-2021 I am guessing my reaction may be because I have multiple illnesses, including arthritis, lung and heart disease. I know 2 other rheumatology patient friends who have had quite bad reactions and when I rang the clinic advice line they said a few of their patients were reacting. It's better than Covid. They also said it meant my immune system was learning to react thanks to the vaccine x RE: Vaccine roll out. - mcdood - 06-03-2021 My wife who has RA had the Pfizer vaccine whereas the rest of my family as far as I'm aware have had the AZ vaccine so I had assumed she'd got that one because of her RA. She has been fine thankfully, sorry to hear you havent. Get well soon. |
