Veggie, your decluttering drive made me think I should start doing the same. Sold a huge pile of kids board games for a tenner, they got a real bargain there. Gave away a mahjong set to a Dutch lady who promises some marmalade in exchange with a recipe for Dutch courgette pickle thrown in. She did offer it in Dutch to give me a challenge but relented and has translated it for me....I hope. Some old Beano and Dandy annuals are being collected today.
I was really surprised at the interest in the mahjong set.

Welcome to the Clutter Club, Jen. Smile
At the moment, I seem to be acquiring clutter, not reducing it. I've collected lots of plastic takeaway boxes that I' going to use to organise seeds (a hobby for winter); books (mostly fiction and cookery - even though I never follow a recipe). Yesterday I collected a load of Planet Mindful magazines (still trying to understand what "mindfulness" means); some dog food sachets and chews and picked over the contents of 6 crates outside someone's house (brought home some flowery notecards, a Diet Doodle Diary and a couple more books).
Must take some photos and get rid of more clutter soon - to make space for the new clutter.

Something for you, JJB. Big Grin

I have thought during your previous posts that decluttering was a misnomer. I thought I saw more recluttering going on. As we've said before seed sorting is like grandma's button box, or lego, it satisfies the 'sorting' instinct

While I was out today posting some very important letters, I made a couple of calls. First to pick up some of the Hozelock irrigation dripper thingys - the pipes and clips and spikes and nozzles and connectors and fittings and I don't know what - all unused in a big bag and a rusty biscuit tin. Just have to work out how it all fits together and where to use it next summer. She also gave me a huge, very sturdy plant tray - larger than a growbag tray.
Next I collected an IKEA wooden storage unit. It holds plastic drawers of various sizes that slide in on grooves. We carried the unit out to my car, lifted it up into the boot and all the trays fell out onto the road!! It just squeezed into the boot with a big of jiggling. My plan is to use it in the book and seed library rom. Just have to move it upstairs and move enough furniture to make space!!
I want you to know that I do declutter as well - tomorrow a bag of gardening and wildlife magazines are being collected. They take up less room than one of the IKEA drawers but its the thought that counts!!

The magazines were collected today and I managed to sneak a few more into the bag and a book...............then I went out and collected 10 books.Smile

I still maintain its re-cluttering, but you can't have too many books, although I'm at saturation point, must have a clear out. I'm not going to the paperback exchange this month, I have to read some I've already got.
