RE: Tonight’s recipe - Scarlet - 13-02-2021 (13-02-2021, 06:06 PM)Small chilli Wrote: Last night was roasted woodcock wrapped in bacon with a whole grain mustard & red wine sauce.Oh, can I come for tea?? RE: Tonight’s recipe - Eyren - 14-02-2021 Last night I did homegrown red kuri squash stuffed with bulghur wheat and lentils, and topped with parmesan: [attachment=2188] Recipe here: https://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-stuffed-roasted-squash-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-101662 It's a really versatile "use what you have in the fridge/pantry" recipe which I'm sure I'll be doing again! You just mix your protein of choice (meat, lentils, whatever) with a grain and some vegetables and seasoning - it suggests cheese as well, but I left that out of the filling and just put a bit on top. For this one I used a pouch of Tesco Bulghur Wheat & Green Lentils, which comes ready flavoured with red & green peppers, tomato, onion, etc, so it was really quick and easy and made for very little washing up RE: Tonight’s recipe - Bren - 14-02-2021 This evening we're having corned beef pie, with roast parsnips, mushy peas and onion gravy. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 14-02-2021 We are having pull pork rolls, chips, salad, coleslaw RE: Tonight’s recipe - Vinny - 14-02-2021 Slow cooked Brisket, Calabrese, peas and carrots with mash and gravy! I luuuurve my Sunday dinners! RE: Tonight’s recipe - JJB - 14-02-2021 No cook Sunday so prob summat in the micro. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Eyren - 14-02-2021 Mr E is making one of my favourites tonight, at my request - pasta with a sauce of leeks and creme fraiche, liberally sprinkled with parmesan. Basically cheese'n'onion pasta RE: Tonight’s recipe - Can the Man - 14-02-2021 Striploin steak, chips, onion rings peas and gravy. Followed by meringue nest with strawberries and cream, bottle of red wine for me and white for herself. RE: Tonight’s recipe - Broadway - 15-02-2021 Chicken peppers onions and chorizo for me and Mrs B. Same for No.2 son minus the peppers and onions RE: Tonight’s recipe - PyreneesPlot - 15-02-2021 Last night duck breast, polenta, caramelised celeriac and cabbage. Tonight back of the fridge soup - lentil & leeks that were cooked with smoked sausage, some roast vegetables, and pumpkin puree. Sun-dried tomato sourdough loaf. |
