Basically like a heavy duty & much larger pallet collar. Not sure if there was actually a pallet involved.(10-06-2025, 08:33 PM)Small chilli Wrote: I got this today and might be getting another one. Perfect raised bed. RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - Vinny - 12-06-2025 I have sown some leeks at allotment which are just germinating now but I came across some ready to plant on a market stall in a 6 inch pot with maybe 30 plants in it. I also bought six red cabage plants as I have't sown any and I am partial to a bit of pickled red cabbage. RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - Veggie - 20-06-2025 I bought some Egyptian Walking Onion bulblets. I was expecting 10 but received about 20, ![]() RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - Small chilli - 01-07-2025 Got 25 big plant pots (5Lt). Free from local buy sell group. I only asked for 10. So I’m very happy. RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - JJB - 02-07-2025 I got a 10L block of coir from Home Bargains for £1.29. I don't really need it but it keeps. And how many of those will you already have? It's going to be really exciting when they arrive, you'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. ![]() RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - Veggie - 03-07-2025 (03-07-2025, 09:40 AM)JJB Wrote:They arrived yesterday but I was too excited to tell you.(03-07-2025, 08:58 AM)Veggie Wrote: Chiltern Seeds - Bargain Basement - Fifty packets of assorted vegetable & herb seeds for £27.20, including P&P. ![]() Its a good selection - some standards and some more unusual, including SC's favourite Samphire. IF I grew ONLY these seeds, it would cover most of my growing needs. The courgette is round and the only bean is a DFB, apart from that, I could get by! A couple of Chilli peppers will NOT be sown but the remainder will be. RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - Veggie - 03-07-2025 Today's acquisition is a "Wonky Veg Collection" of 12 perennial plants from Dyfi Plants. https://dyfiplants.co.uk/shop/ It was a Lucky Dip selection so I had no idea what was in the box, but that they were likely to need some TLC. They look perfect to me! All potted up ready to plant or pot on. I won't make you guess what they are, so........... Lovage, Soapwort, Oca, Chinese Garlic Chive, Mashua, Apple Mint, Oxeye daisy, Chive, Goji, 9 Star perennial broccoli, Rhubarb "Victoria" & Sweet Cicely. Some I already grow but it never hurts to bring in fresh stock to renew the old plants. Special Note for Lovage (I recently found out that the plant I thought was "lovage" is actually Alexanders (AKA Black lovage). So, my apologies if I've sent you seeds of this. Its still edible and can be used like lovage. Never grown Mashua or Goji before - or Soapwort, despite saying I would. Haven't grown Oca or Sweet Cicely for a few years either. The Garlic Chives have disappeared too. I do have Apple Mint, Oxeye Daisy, Chives and some Rhubarb and 9 Star PB although the Wonky one looks stronger than mine. Cost £36 for 12 Plants & P&P. Well pleased. RE: 2025 - Seeds and stuff I've bought or acquired - JJB - 03-07-2025 I had to Google Mashua and although I lived in NZ never remember tasting Oca. An interesting selection. |
