What was it like? I’ve not tried that variety.

My something new is I’ve crocheted my very first jumper. Finished it this morning. Took me about 3 weeks with stoppages to crochet things for the end of next month.

The consistency of mash and slightly sweet, supposedly less carbs than potato which pales into insignificance with the amount of butter/spread I added to it. Smile The first half I roasted the second I micro'd and scooped out the flesh, roasted, understandably was tastier but micro was acceptable.  I wonder whether it would be nice made into patties and sautéed.

The BIG question is - will you grow it again?

Probably, as I don't grow potatoes it's an easy alternative.  Although it doesn't give many fruits. I'm not totally convinced about growing again but as I have the seed it might as well be sown.  That's not a glowing  recommendation is it?

Yesterday, I followed a robotic cleaner around Morries! I thought I was imagining things, when a big "box" moved towards me and headed off down an aisle. It was about shoulder height (OK I know that's not very tall on me) and chunky - like a dalek. Silent too. I seemed to be the only person who was a bit intrigued by this robot and couldn't help but follow it down the aisle. I can't imagine that its very effective as it only cleaned down the centre of the aisle, turned a corner at the end and headed off down the next aisle.
Next time I see it, I'm going to drop something in front of it and see how it reacts. Will it slurp it up or shout at me for dropping litter?

I met the  robot again today. If nothing else it gives customers something to talk about! I tested its reactions by standing in front of it, to see how close I could get before it detected me and swerved away - quite close! I asked one of the staff whether it would pick up anything dropped in front of it but he said it washes the floor, not vacuums. He actually switched it off and said he'd have to get a cleaner to clean up after it as it was leaving a  wet slug trail behind. Doesn't sound all that efficient if that's what happens. the last thing Morries would want would be customers slipping on the wet floor.
When its stopped, or was passing by, I had to pat it, like a big dog. I even started talking to it - asking it where it was going next etc.  Apparently the staff have been trying to think of a name for it. The brand name is "Rovr" and its made by Tennant.

Found it - and there's a video Big Grin https://www.tennantco.com/en_eu/1/machines/scrubbers/product.x4-rovr.autonomous-floor-scrubber.m-x4rovr.html

Cool toy. Not seen one of those. Probably not much call for it on Mull.
So many names are running through my head. And none of them are very original  Big Grin .

We used to have a cleaner where I wotked who's nickname was Zoro because of the zed patterns she left with the mop! Big Grin I bet if it had said 'EXTERMINATE' when you stood in front of it you would hav got out of the way quickly!

My something new. I found a shed slow worm skin when sorting stuff in my polytunnel.
Never found one before.
