Uses for moss? - Broadway - 25-03-2021

Evening folks

My friend has some bags of moss and has asked if I wanted them for the allotment, do I, what can I use it for?

I’d stuff a bird feeder (fat ball or peanut) with it so the birds can use it for nesting materials.

I’ve got one stuffed with goose down from my last round of plucking.

Bury it under where you are going to grow beans to conserve moisture.

That’s what I normally use. Birds are getting spoiled this year. Dogs are happy because they’re not getting brushed  Big Grin

I once made some fishing flies from my dogs hairs and was astounded when I actually caught a trout with them! Big Grin

My top lawn is incredibly mossy. I find the moss doesn't rot down in the compost heap very quickly.
