How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Scarlet - 21-06-2020 I don't spend huge amounts on garden stuff but I love visiting gardens and will always come home with plants. The Lockdown has meant I couldn't do that - I'm not complaining because I've loved every minute of having to stay home. But my garden is full - maybe I've had more time to plant stuff in, or the weather has brought more plants on faster? I bought 10 dahlia tubers in jan ...about £24.00 I also bought 3 packets of flower seed approx £7.00 3 bags of compost - £10.00 Then I splashed out on 10 clematis - £110.00 So a total of £141.00 ( but the clematis was an investment) How much have you spent? RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Veggie - 21-06-2020 I bought some seeds from RealSeeds in February and some compost from the local shop about then too. Haven't bought anything since as I haven't been anywhere to shop and can't think of any seeds to order online. About £30 spent this year. RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Mark_Riga - 21-06-2020 A lot this year. £1500 on a polytunnel to start with. about £140 on compost from Dalefoot compost at Malvern show last year, delivered in January (when will I go to another show?) which causes a problem because it was the best I've ever used but quite dear. 2 blueberries and strawberries from T&M (the blueberries were OK) £16. then some seeds not too many this year probably about £15. I may see a return on this years investments though - if I live to be 100. RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Small chilli - 22-06-2020 Palette of compost £120 Seeds, roughly £10 Chilli feed, probably just under £50. This is probably an average year RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Scarlet - 22-06-2020 I'm surprised. I thought I would have seen a lot of arm chair buying. Mark that must be a fab Poly! My husband surprised me with a 20ft Greenhouse one year. My immediate thought was I'm never going to get that money back but he loves bikes ( the pedalling kind) and he said " you don't usually get a hobby that pays for itself" RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Vinny - 22-06-2020 (21-06-2020, 10:21 PM)Veggie Wrote: I bought some seeds from RealSeeds in February and some compost from the local shop about then too. RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Roitelet - 22-06-2020 6 PepperPlants,6 Aubergine plant, 1 Tarragon, because mine died, three perforated hoses and a couple of packets of seeds. I haven’t kept an account but I suppose in the region of £50. The biggest outlay was the hoses but they are an investment. RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Bren - 22-06-2020 Here's mine £7.65 for a bale of B&Q compost. £22.99 for a new GH auto-vent. RE: How much have you spent on your garden this year? - Scarlet - 22-06-2020 Not even one packet of seed Bren!! That is brill.
