Just two weeks before our first birthday, obviously £25 doesn't appeal to anyone Wink
I'm thinking on it! Smile
I don't want anyone to plagiarise my entry. Wink
Just thought I'd give this thread a bit of a bump to remind people about it again. I like reading the reasons people are here.
Forum, how (or why) do I love thee? Let me count the ways......

The people, who are so friendly, daft, informative and empathic.
The lack of advertising which can be so intrusive on other sites.
The abundance of knowledge, that is shared so freely.
The lack of back biting and animosity from the members.
The diversity of topics, both garden and trivial, with (almost) no subject barred, we draw the line a politics I think.
The humour and good will displayed by everyone.
The wide geographic footprint we have, it is so interesting learning how the other half live and garden.
The boss and mods who set it up, thank you
AND ITS FREE!
No advertisements
No cookies
No gardening question silly
No gardening question on any subject ignored

Whither just starting or very experienced, we can all learn from one another
Not long to closing time!!
I'd better put some thought into my entry. Wink
Time is running out folks Cry
Happy Birthday, G&G.  Heart
It would have been a lonely year for us gardeners without you. A year when Garden Centres were closed, Shows and Events were cancelled, Seeds were in short supply and any face-to-face contact with fellow gardeners was not allowed.
Up pops G&G  to the rescue ..........we've shared advice and support, seeds and plants, enjoyed virtual visits to each other's gardens and homes  and had a few laughs along the way. Between us, we have so much knowledge that no question, however bizarre, has remained unanswered.
Thank you all for sharing your time and experiences with us - long may we continue as gardeners and friends.  Heart

PS That's my official  entry - the real reason I'm here is that the Boss told me I had to join and I was about to be chucked out of another place. Thanks Boss for setting up this Happy Home for us, free of rules and commercialism. xx
I like this forum because I'm amongst like minded friends. Not sure which bits I like best, I read it all well apart from Feathered Friends but that's just because I don't have chooks.
