An interesting area to live Danny.  Whilst we purport to live in the countryside here, there are no rural walks around.  I'm deeply envious of your canal.

Out of interest,do you know where the canal starts and finishes and how long it is. Also whether it joins on to any other canals? Huh

Yes bit of a giveaway with the nameSmile

It's the Chesterfield canal Vinny, 46 miles from the River Trent (West Stockwith) to Chesterfield, not sure about joining other canals.
