Do you look through the little end or the big end?

What is most important to you - the journey or the destination?

Do you look at the Departures board or the Arrivals?

Do you look forward or look back?

Am I talking in riddles? If not, how does what I've asked relate to gardening??

If it helps, which I doubt, I have seen a shining light at the end of the garden and my eyes have been opened to The Other Way. Smile
I’m sure you’ll explain when you’re ready  Smile . And it will probably all become very clear. At the moment I don’t have the faintest idea what you’re on about  Big Grin .
You've bought a house next to a lighthouse? Big Grin
You have played host to a Jehovah's witness? Huh
You've finally cracked! Rolleyes Tongue
You've been visited by little green men? Huh
I would say that the destination is what motivates me to persevere when the journey hits a bump in the road. It's easy to enjoy puttering around the garden on a sunny day, but it's the prospect of delicious homegrown produce that gets me out there when it's cold and wet or there's something boring and/or back-breaking to be done!
Let's think more about the Journeys that we all take every year.
A Journey may be to somewhere you've always wanted to go or it could be somewhere you visit every year. Maybe you've made the journey previously and are going to go there one more time, to see if its as good, or as bad, as you remember.
You plan your journey, maybe do a bit of research about your destination, buy the tickets, pack your bags and get ready to go

Your journey may go smoothly or encounter problems along the way - delays, route changes, accidents and breakdowns......Maybe you change your mind and decide you don't want to go there, or, when you do, it may be a big disappointment, not at all what your expected. Or, it could be a wonderful place but you're there at the wrong time of year - bad weather, venues closed - but you know that you really do want to return, to see it at its best. Of course, there may be no problems, your destination is everything you've hoped for, the rooms are ready when you arrive, its clean and you like the place so much you want to go there every year at the same time.
Have you been tidying your drinks cupboard again?  Big Grin

And again with the ......what ?  Huh  Big Grin .
It's getting a bit deep for me, I haven't a friggin clue what you are on about? Rolleyes
