These are amazing little harmless and incredibly cute creatures. Yet another species being driven to extinction because of us, the human race.  
I thought maybe some of you maybe interested. Knowing how much you all love and respect our native wildlife.

Thanks for the link SC, its hard to think people eat them.

Unfortunately, some "people" will eat anything that lives with no regard to its rarity - that only adds to its cachet.

Worse still they kill creatures for fun for decorative purposes or 'medicinal benefits'.

To quote The Doors - people are strange.
