Seriously though, must have been of a shock.
From the noise and the sudden drop, we guessed we’d driven into a culvert we hadn’t spotted at the end of the passing place. That we’d just gone into to let the bin lorry passed. When we got out of the truck to have a look I was very confused because there wasn’t a culvert! Bob said the wheel had fallen off. I had to get him to repeat that statement

Luckily it’s another case of falling in **it & coming out smelling of roses
. Bob replaced the near side one a couple of months ago. But he brought a pair. So no extra expense just a little inconvenient. He’s fitting it now.
