Hi all
Im new to this forum so just doing a brief intro. Live in West Wales (UK) and really interested in everything to do with Polytunnels. Ive got a 20ft x 10ft tunnel which I put up 3 years ago. Re-covered it this year as the green mesh cover was rubbish. Ive got raised beds inside and built a 'hotbed' in one of the beds this year. Has anybody else built hotbeds and any tips? Looking forward to some online gardening! Smile

Cheers

Hi DaiWig , welcome to g&g.
Can’t help with the hotbed. I’m sure someone will have some knowledge about the subject. I am a fan of polytunnels . It’s were I spend most of my time  Smile .

What do you grow in yours?
Croeso Dai from Cardiff. Smile
Its very wet here today but don't tell the others as they think its always Sunshiny in South Wales. Wink
We have a few polytunnel growers here so I'm sure there'll be some advice coming your way soon.
Welcome DaiWig
Welcome to GandG

I have two tunnels but have netted both mine as I am a fan of growing brassicas, like you I am interested in hot beds but only experimented with them
Welcome DaiWig, I'm afraid a poly is only a fantasy for me but I can dream. I hope you enjoy our forum, we're quite a friendly bunch.

Hi Small Chilli
Its my man cave so spend as much time in there as possible! Bumper crop of tomatoes (about 13kg) this year and about 50 cucumbers from 3 plants = tons of pickles and chutneys. Also grow usual salad stuff (I've got seedlings about 2 tall growing at the moment) and spuds in a raised bed outside. I only grow what we'll eat as lesson learned from last year. Oh, and stawberries in hanging baskets too. Loved every minute of lockdown!
