I have grown six  Habanero chilli plants which are now ripening. The problem is that the fruits are only the size of a large pea? I have kept them watered and gave them a feed once a fortnight. The plants look healthy but the fruits are tiny.

Any idea of what I have done wrong SC? Huh
I don’t think you’ve done anything wrong necessarily. A couple of things spring to mind. One it could have something to do with the variety. What varieties are they? Other thing quite often the first fruit to set are often small and ripen first. Have you got more fruit still green/growing or more flowers coming?
That’s all I’ve got, sorry. Maybe scarlet has some other suggestions.
Any chance of a photo?
I really don’t think it’ll have anything to do with pot size , position / location or you’re watering / feeding regime. That’s more to do with overall size & health of the plant.
Could it be a lack of pollination?
Remember, I know nothing about chillies!!
They don’t produce at all with lack of pollination. The flowers just drop off, as far as I’m aware.
I’ve got to go look that up now, I’m not sure!
Thanks SC and veggie. Other fruit are present and geeen and I still have loads of flowers. They were grown from a packet of De Ree seeds with a picture of orange Habanero's on the front if that helps?

I also have chilli's grown from a mixed batch with what looks like Habanero's of normal size (still green)
This was the packet
I’ll do a bit of research, but not for a couple of days, bit busy at the moment  Smile .
I'm with SC on this. The first few chilies are often small. Habs are perennials- as the plant gets bigger/stronger the fruit will get bigger too. Are you able to over winter one or two? Jabs are one of the easiest to do so.
If the flowers aren't pollinated they drop off.
Another question for Small Chilli

SC, as we've gone into lockdown and I'm unlikely to go to the shops, I had the brainwave of starting a windowsill chilli for my lad's birthday. There is some drivel on the interweb but I didn't look to far. Any ideas on a medium heat small pot plant size chilli suitable for a windowsill?
Basket of fire is a possibility. Numex twilght might stay small in a small pot. Cayennetta would be good. Seeds available ( or they were ) from mr F , T&M. Someone else might pitch in with other ideas. I usually grow big plants  Wink .
