One of my Beth Alpha cucs gave up on 3 May it was laying horizontal across the pot Sad  the bottom leaves all floppy.   Anyway I’d read previously about cutting of the top couple of inches and popping it in water to root.

This is how it looks like today it’s time to pot it on.  Smile

Nice one Bren Smile . I didn't know you could do that with cukes. Huh Handy if they get too leggy as well I would imagine? Cool
One of my Beth Alpha is a bit droopy too but There's not enough stem to cut off - yet.
Thanks for the reminder, Bren. Smile

Wonder if it works with other cucurbits too ...........should do?
Thanks for the tip Bren
Wish I’d known that a couple of weeks ago I lost both my cucumbers ( the variety I can’t pronounce or spell  Rolleyes ).
They both did the droopy thing. So I binned them.
My 2 cucumbers that got the dart of frost recently appear to have recovered. I will get some photos tomorrow and post.
I just goes to show Can that cucs can be hardier than we think.
Thats what you call a success Bren...very useful tip Smile
This is how they are looking now
