So last year when I cleared the plot i dumped everything at the end to rot down / die off etc.. So the question is what to do with it now, can I reuse or is there to big a danger of reintroducing the weeds.

Perhaps a silly question but heySmileSmile
Depends on whether there were any seeds on the stuff you dumped that may germinate or roots that could regrow. If nothing has come back so far this year, you'll probably OK.

Hiya Veggie

I was thinking maybe a tall bed dump it at the bottom some membrane then a few squashes on top.
Why membrane?

Was thinking it would suppress any weeds from beneath? ?
Use cardboard - its free and will compost. Membranes' a pain in the middle of a bed.
Fair pointSmile
I was thinking similarly Broadway, except I'd not put in in my "good bed" instead I'd make a new compost heap of sorts, your weedy stuff and some new greens at the bottom, and pile up some more compost able material above, let it rot down some over winter then put a few inches of top soil or compost on top to plant in to. Either squash, courgettes, broad beans etc.
The only reason I'd keep it separate is in case everything germinates in there you can just scrap it as a bed and turn it over so it's a compost heap again.
